All By Pastor (Elder) Sean D. Smith, D.Min

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

The words "know" and "all" take on an entirely different meaning depending upon which side of the coin you find yourself on…at least that's what the world will have you believe. However, when it comes to God, His promises, and His principles, there is no room to interpret the word "all" because He not only says what He means but means what He says. Unfortunately, it is entirely up to you, your faith, and your belief to "know" that what He says is true. So, what is so significant or special about the word "all" that should have you buzzing with joy when it comes to God's Word? Well, for starters, the word "all" clearly signals to your situations, circumstances, and problems that God's Word/promises do not change based upon them; instead remain steadfast regardless of them. Additionally, "all" encompasses you…a very important notion that often goes overlooked. Now, add the former and the latter together. You will quickly see (and perhaps come to "know") that you serve an intentional God Who incessantly works on your behalf…again regardless of the position or assignment you find yourself in. The word "all" has been deemed irrelevant by most operating in the world yet is essential to those working in the Kingdom because it provides assurance in God's Word to those who love and serve Him accordingly. Today, know that God has a plan for you and that "all" things are working together for "good" (regardless of what this day looks like), believing until the end that He is mindful of "you" and all of your life events - For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).
